Set in the centre of the historical village of Wollombi, Saint Michael's Church, with its interior restored to its original 19th Century simple beauty, is the perfect choice for a country wedding.

Located in the most picturesque and historic part of the Wine Country and only 20 minutes from Cessnock, Saint Michael’s is available for celebrations all year round. Saint Michael’s Church is close to accommodation and reception venues.

Local artist Margaret Ella, who designed and created new windows for the church, began work on the project in May 2005. The six windows in the main body of the church form a series based on the first chapter of Genesis and celebrate “the story of the creation of heaven and earth”. Much of the very distinctive glass has been sourced from Germany, France and America and Saint Michael's has been fortunate indeed to have the work of such a knowledgeable and talented artist to add to the beauty of the building. Margaret has turned the words of Genesis into images of colour.
